A great car that has the perfect blend of performance and efficiency. Powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine rated at 265 hp and an incredible 425 ft-lb of torque (more than the 2024 M3) that also gets >35 mpg on the highway.

The M Sport trim was only offered in the US in 2011 as a $3,750 option and only ~700 were imported. It includes an ///M steering wheel with paddle shifters, aerodynamic body kit, Shadowline exterior trim, ///M door sills, and ///M wheels. The Le Mans Blue exterior was only available in the M Sport trim. In more than 10 years of ownership, I’ve only ever seen one other car like this one.

I purchased the car in 2014 from CarMax with 26k miles and have put on 75k miles over the past 10 years. It has always been kept in a garage, never smoked in, and has no accidents and a clean title.

Maintenance has all been performed by BMW or German car experts and a list of selected maintenance is below. It is currently equipped with the original 18 inch wheels and Continental ExtremeContact DSW06 tires (225/40R18 front and 255/35R18 rear, 12k miles). The only modification made was replacing the rear window tint by a professional with no damage to the defroster.

There are a few minor cosmetic defects, including scratches on the underside of the front bumper, a scrape on the right rear bumper, chipped paint on the rear bumper, curb rash on two wheels, deterioration of the rear window exterior molding at the top corners, and some peeling on the steering wheel (see pictures).

Engine and electronics are in good condition with full function and no service or engine codes.

May 2018 / 71k: Replaced fuel and air filters, performed blower motor and airbag recall service
Feb 2019 / 79k: Performed battery cable recall service, replaced SCR tank
April 2019 / 80k: Replaced thermostat replaced, 2 nox sensors, and camshaft sensor
July 2020 / 89k: Replaced battery and footwell module
Jan 2022 / 90k: Replaced four tires
May 2023 / 96k: Replaced DEF fluid transfer pump
Oct 2023 / 98k: Changed oil and brake fluid, replaced right front low beam and daytime running light
