I have a 2008 e93 and for about a year now my radio and chimes and well basically everything in the car that would normally make noise through the speakers isn’t working, I have no idea what happened to have made this occur, but also I have this SOS warning light that started i believe at the same time, after some research and I don’t know if this is correct but I have seen these two things be correlated. I’ve tried a couple things to fix the issue but the car is still not making any noise. If anyone could point me in the right direction or something that would be very helpful.

Most likely your amplifier has died from drowning .
This is a common problem .
Second possibility is one of the Most Bus modules in the Trunk has died .
You don't say anything about what you did or which system you have .
In the US in 2008 there was either the Hi Fi sysem for the Logic 7 system.
