First, I should have PPF’d.

For this chip and small dent would you go to a detailer or body shop or dent repair shop or something else?

I don’t want a cheap fix I want it like new. And I’m PPF’ing after this.

Also please ignore the dirt she’s getting a bath tomorrow lol.

If the paint is chipped and you want it 'like new' then the entire door needs to be repainted.

I doubt ppf would have prevented paint damage. That looks brutal!

I doubt ppf would had prevented the ding, it may had prevented the paint chip, but not the ding.

having said that, if there is no paint chip, you could have done a ding removal and it would look like new.

Now you can try touch up paint, but you can always spot the imperfection there.

Or like the other guy said, paint the whole door....

good luck...

This /\.

Any touch up paint job will always be the "weak spot" and potentially problematic properly curing the clear coat. To do it right, door comes off, prepped, and fully painted and clear coated.
