Hey Everyone!
New to the forum here. Wanted to feel close to whoever is also on the same boat as me. I just placed a deposit down for a allocation on a G87 Frozen Grey 8speed. Dealer said I will be getting a allocation sometime in the next couple months. I am the first on the list at their dealer so not sure if that means anything. They also said most likely my build will be a 2025 model. Let the waiting begin! 4/22/24: deposited cash |

Placed my deposit 4/15, just got the allocation yesterday. First on the list means you should get the next M2 allocation that comes in. |

After 2 months of waiting after production, my sales advisor just texted me saying that I'm on the boat and should arrive in Texas on Monday!

Seeing all these posts of guys getting allocations gets me happy for you guys but I must admit I get a little jealous lol. I got on the waitlist back in February and was told I would be getting an allocation next year as there are 4 people ahead of me. This worked out perfectly for me because I can pay off wife’s car in October and then save some cash for some aftermarket goodies. Well all of a sudden, I get an email from the sales rep I have been talking to and he says he has an allocation available if I wanted it. I got so excited but I passed. I wanted to pay off wife’s car first, save some money, and really would like to see the 2025. He totally understood which was cool but damn it!!! So close but now is not my time.

Just got my allocation today as well. The dealer said "We got 2 M2 allocations this morning. Your build is officially assigned a production date". 04/25/24 Any idea the average build time? And next step is waiting for a VIN to see the build status right? |

Just successfully ordered a vehicle with an allocation. I almost didn’t swing on the vehicle when I heard the dealer wanted 5k ADM… Dealer on the phone heard me cringe, knocked it down to 1500. BMW graduate program was applied so 500 over MSRP…. So 90% reduction in markup from 10 minutes of phone call.
Called BMW Camarillo, Long Beach, Crevier, Bob Smith, McKenna, Sherman Oaks, Monrovia, Glendale, Penske Ontario, and then lastly who I dealt with DTLA. All of which had adm. Originally dealt with New Century of Alhambra but they happily accept orders and have me wait in 047 for a month and half. (They do not do market adjustment) Read the forums and decided to get active with my purchase. 111, dealer says build date is May. Might arrive in July. Funny enough, was shopping around for A90. Got fed up with adm, ended uo here with an m2 on the way LOL. |

I don’t understand the dealer markup. I feel like that was a thing during Covid (which I can understand), and now they think it’s ok to continue doing it to make it the new normal. |

Hi there! Happy to join the waiting crew
I was able get an allocation on 04/17 after two weeks of wait after placing the order request. No waitlist and they were happy to sell at MSRP. The dealer told me there is a wait-list for MY2025 allocations already. Production is somewhere in May but no exact build date yet. The only weird thing they tell me that the delivery is expected in September-October, which doesn't make any sense for production in May. I was also told the car is produced in Germany and finalized in Mexico . We'll see how it goes. Hopefully they are wrong about the delivery time. |

Not sure how many allocations they have but I would assume they want to get rid of this now that the supposed 25 is coming out soon. Kind of surprised other dealers don’t feel as motivated to selling the last allocations of 24 before the switch. |

up to 700 miles now, gaining on it! New break-in parameters at least since I'm above 600miles (below 6k, no full throttle in 1-3rd gear), the 3rd bar transmission setting is so nice above 4k rpm too, feels real close to a DCT. Miles better then the same gearbox in my M340i

CA just said mine should be at the dealership on Monday!
My plan is to go straight to PPF. I was planning on using the detailer’s service to pick up the car in an enclosed trailer, but I might just drive it there myself. Will I be fine if I just drive it 20 miles to the detailer? It’ll save me $150. I’m probably be overthinking this… |
