Difficult to tell but looks like slight pitting on the external cover caused by road debris. I suspect it feels smooth but the light will amplify any imperfections.

Most likely small rock chips from regular driving. Lightly feel the surface with with fingernail and you’ll be able to tell. And no, warranty won’t cover this, it’s normal wear and tear.

Did you try some rubbing compound? Might be debris built up in tiny indentations due to rocks and the like.
I will look at mine more closely for comparisons tonight. |

Thanks all for the feedback. I’ll try some rubbing compounds, seems the consensus is it’s exterior damage which makes sense. I’m just glad it’s probably not dust getting into the interior of the lamps

I had PPF installed to mine, despite some scare I hear about it potentially causing the light cover to delaminate one day. The PPF doesnt stay perfect looking itself, but the theory is that I can hopefully peel it off down the road and have mostly pristine lights. I will see how that works out real world.

You should also ceramic coat over the ppf for best results. I had ppf on my B9 S5 for 5+ years with no issues. Sold the car to my builder who redid the ppf and no issues when removing. Headlights remained pristine. |

Perfect timing lol. I also saw the same. I thought dust too inside. If it’s just outside damage I am fine. No big deal. But inside dust is annoying. Ask dealer? I’ll ask later
