while driving to work today, i noticed something off w/ car.

i was doing runs last night and the car was working flawlessly (cobb S1+aggST)

note: i have ER chargepipe w/ tial bov.

so, if i accelerate and quickly let off gas, there is a whoosh sound (not bov sound) as if it was not venting properly. immediately following the sound, i notice that rpm's bounce upward for a second as if overboost was forcing way into the combustion process.

i attempted to log but couldnt get anything reliable on way to work. no codes thrown.

i plan on checking vacuum lines and bov tonight and see what i can find.

anyone have experience w/ this type of issue?

Compressor surge/turbo flutter? Maybe something is up with your BOV?

definitely not anything like this...i will try to get video...

it sounds like a BOV but venting to throttlebody (?) ... fucking weird.

here is a video...see 2-3 seconds and 32-33 seconds for noises ...

sound occurs right before BOV release...

...get a "shove from behind" type feeling as well.

I'm pretty sure I've been experiencing the exact same issue you are.

Since I'm on the stock chargepipe, I just assumed it was the reason for the odd "whooshing" sound. It definitely sounds as if a massive amount of excess air is being spit back out immediately after letting off the gas.

Currently running Cobb Stg1 ST Agg and not throwing any codes either. Most of my logs tend to show overboost happening as well.

I've check all the chargepipe connections and I've seen nothing loose.

Very curious to find an answer to this as well.

I will let you know if I figure anything out! I am kind of at a standstill right not bc I sold the cobb so until I get the tune situation back in order I am kind of stuck. I am annoyed by this issue.
