I'm guessing the induction noise isn't as pronounced inside the car because the intakes are in the front? And forgive my lack of knowledge here, but these getting wet from rain won't pose a problem? CT doesn't rain too heavily often, but it can rain cars & trucks once in a while over the summer.

I've ran front mounts on all of my vehicles and the sound was very pronounced inside of the vehicle. You just need to get the boost up typically by loading the motor and raising the boost. Going full throttle will usually drown out the sound with the other sound's the car makes until you let off and hear the bov sounds.

Rain is not a concern at all. The only thing you ever need to be worried about is flooding and a water level that would submerge the filters. More than likely you would fill the stock intakes as well with water at that height.

I see the S55 intakes for $250 and I see these for $700 on XPH. Can I order these from MAD directly and pay a realistic price or is this first to market recoup your money pricing?

Before you get snarky with a respected vendor, maybe do your research. You're talking about the S55 intakes & those are $249 on Mike's site. And, those are not the front mount intakes. The G87 intakes are $549. The front mounts are $709-$749 depending on options on MAD's site, too.

While I know this will not be a concern for all but running those front mounts in a coastal/beach area or similar to South Florida in general, you will be collecting a ton of dirt and sand on the filters. This will lead to more frequent cleanings and/or changing of filters.

If its a dedicated track car, I can see some benefits.

You just gotta rub it in you're in SFLA. LOL

That hurts us New Englanders.

This is true. The filters are more exposed to the elements and may require more frequent replacements and cleanings. If you live in a very dusty rocky or construction type area I would recommend some of those filter socks. Depending on your grill type you may be able to slip them on and off to rinse them .

I grew up outside of Philly and don't miss the cold (I do miss other things from the area). It is nice having summer setup on the car year round.

I will admit, we have vacationed numerous times in Bar Harbor so I am envious but just not on a permanent basis.

Correct, our map pricing policy prevents any dealer from raising or lowering the pricing of our products beyond what we allow.

My bad, I do see that the tubes are shorter.

Just want to make sure - everything I've seen for this platform is eye-wateringly overpriced in comparison to s55 f8x previous generation stuff. Appreciate the follow up.
