We often have new vehicles recently delivered to center grounds, but within the system it states otherwise. Once it gets released to the carrier it sometimes can be a crapshoot.

Transportation is extremely unpredictable lately. And sometimes crazy things happen. One time we had an Alpina XB7 show it was released to trucking. Then days went by, no Alpina. Then a week. The other cars on the load appeared. What happened? Well, the trucker went through a weigh station and was a but over. He dropped the Alpina off at the weigh station and drove in. Then dispatch sent another truck to get it days later. Not a joke. Luckily it showed up unharmed.

Jesus! Who would have been responsible if it wasn't unharmed? The driver personally, his carrier? Or shit out of luck?

Supposedly this is a fairly common occurrence for vehicle shipments on transporters. Normally the lower rearmost vehicle would be left behind to bring the transporter into weight limit, as it is the easiest and quickest to remove without disturbing the others vehicles.

My son works for a small company that specialises in buying full-size later model pickups in Canada and selling them to dealers in Phoenix and L.A.. They typically fill a transporter each week, the last time they had a pickup left behind was last Dec. It spent a week at a weighbridge near Lethbridge, halfway to the US border from Calgary.

Just checked and status is updated

Called Genius and looks like I'm on the GLOVIS SYMPHONY. Maybe you're on it as well? I see you're also in NJ. Was told it should arrive at port on April 14th, but hopefully that's awfully conservative.

Has anyone seen any HEA cars at their dealerships yet? Doesn't seem like any of them have moved from the ports. Not looking great for the April 1st date to have them on display at dealerships.

Exactly - looking like end of first week of April at best.

The HEA that I have a deposit on just changed from "at the port" to "In transit". The changed happened today 3/31.

I will update when it actually lands at the dealership.

Was this the first time you were “at the port” or second?

First time you move to “in transit” you’re on a boat. I’m not positive, but I think the second time means you are leaving the VPC and headed to the dealership.

With Track My BMW, there are 16 notices from start to finish . Each one has a unique title.

There is only one titled "At the Port" (#13) and there is only one titled "In transit" (#14).

I plan to post when the vehicle has reached #15 "At the dealership" and again at #16 "Vehicle delivered".

Yes, but did you know you can move backwards from #14 to #13? That is what happened to me once I was unloaded in Baltimore.

The first “at the port” notification is for Altamira, Mexico. The second means the car has reached the US.

I was just curious where you were in the process? If you are “in transit” for a second time, that means cars are finally on trucks headed to dealers.

That's where mine should be, still showing at port in my garage, hoping it changes soon!

I'm about 2.5 hours from there so not far lol
