If I owned an F87 M2C I would not be considering this car, TBH. That said, all reports indicate this will handle much better than the old version, and that was already pretty brilliant.

And where exactly is the transformation?! It's the leaked car and the leaked bumper from over a year ago. People saying total transformation from leaks are delusional. Better lighting, photography, professional pics etc the car is the same
Finally someone said it !!!!

I'm literally laughing at these comments

I mean, if people are excited about this, all for it. Whatever story you need to tell yourself. Hopefully M makes a better looking and lighter weight CS/CSL version in manual.

For now, I'll keep my F87 M2 CS thanks.

I'm sure there will be a CS version of this car that's going to be much lighter and quicker.

Indeed it's the exact thing. Just like the leaks were the actual production car. Now all of a sudden ALAKAZAMMMMM TRANSFORMATION
I remember; people saying the bumper pic was bs and looked like a cheap chinese made bodykit

I'd get an m3 all day over this. But since i've got a comp i'm good.

Wait until independently tested. The M240i xdrive is supposed to reach 60 in 4.1 secs, but is consistently timed by reviewers much less; some as low as 3.7 secs. Of course it depends on conditions and tires, but I would doubt the base M2 manual will do 60 in 3.9 and the Auto in mid 3's.

Agree with all who say that colors are extremely important for this model. This car looks like puke in white and acceptable in red.

Still, there is no denying that this is an extremely odd design language. I can see great promise from the concept pictures, but I don’t feel that the actual car delivered on that promise.

I’m sure it’ll still be one hell of a car to drive, but this design… it makes rhe g80 look downright gorgeous imo.

If you've driven a G82, you know it doesn't. On the contrary, the G82 6MT drove so well when I tested it in March 2021 that I immediately traded in my '21 M2C that I swore I was going to keep forever.

Better get that $65-70k on your M2Cs now before people figure it out.

I’m getting E30 vibes as well, first thing I thought when seeing the side shot of the car. Has a similar boxy look above the rear side of the car. This thing is beautiful.

And hooray for BMW for adding a larger fuel tank...

Oh wait, not they didn't. Still 13.7 gallons. Sheesh.

The rear is too clunky for me. The massive screen in the cabin is an eye sore. The M colors on the door are so gimmicky. I'm sure just like the G82, this car will drive excellent, but this car confirms that BMW has lost touch with its design language. Major disappointment!

And put it on a track or a twisty road and it will out perform the M240i.

Car not on BMW US website yet. How long does it take to see a new vehicle after a press release? Curious to see config options.

Man this thing looks horrible. Looks like someone put one of those cheap, home-made body kits on the 2 series, which is already ugly. Especially lovely is the rectangular design…

Sticking to my F87 and moving on from the platform from there. Nice try BMW. Mixed bag effort.
