Question M3 Style OR OEM Skirts ?

Looking for input if I should keep M3 Style Skirts OR go back to OEM ? I find OEM skirts gives the car more of clean smoother look.

M-Tech if you want something in between the classy stock look and the aggressive M3 sides.

I'm not sure many people realize this, but there actually 4 OEM type versions ........

OEM sport (factory installed to the 335i)
OEM M aero (same as above, but these actually are lower w/ a slight flare)
OEM M3
OEM M-Tech

I have the M aero package. The skirts are maybe a 1/2" lower around, but retain the exact same style as the 335i OEM skirts.

It's a package.
Side skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler & front spoiler. Everyone seems to like the spoiler (which is what most of us have installed) & never realize it's part of the M aero package.

Rear bumper & side skirts all sit lower to flow with the front spoiler. The M aero side skirts flare out a very very minimal amount in comparison to the M3 or M-Tech.

m3... counterpoint to the smooth lines above it and creates a pleasing dynamic tension, whereas with OEM, everything looks too smooth and rather inert, or bland... my .02

I like how the lines on the oem run up slightly and finish off flowing through the trunk line...
however since you do have a HM style lip I would keep the m3 skirts since the front starts off slightly more aggressive anyway.
wish they made m3 rep (e90 style) skirts for non m3 e90s...

Is your recommendation based on self serving motive ... If I do switch, I'll certainly will keep you in mind. BTW shipping from Toronto Canada to California is frigin pricey...

That's what I like about OEM .... the flow of lines into rear fender/bumper

M3 rep skirts for non m3 e90s in the works http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=300374

I've been thinking about this option also... Any one wants to swap ?

Have anyone seen PICs on the forum of AW E92 or E93 with H-Type front lip and M-Tech skirts ?

The other option maybe Hamann, since my front lip and rear diffuser H-CF replicas

The M3 skirts look good, but for some reason, I think they look better on an aggressively-modified E92 coupe.

Do not go back to plain OEM skirts...too dull and boring.

Do not get Hamann skirts...they don't flow smoothly with the lines of the car.

M-Tech skirts (always go with the OEM M-Tech ones, not the replica ones) would be perfect for your car...flows smoothly and adds a nice touch of aggressiveness, too.
