Raised hell with my SA and he lowered my rate at least back down to 3.49% and locked it in until I get the car so I guess that’s something… rain here totally matches the mood lol.

Pretty out of character for me to be honest but he has the audacity to imply the delay was my fault since I was waiting until Friday to pick the car up, like I could have foreseen this situation… My guess is your situation may be different depending on how this is affecting your dealerships sales. If they aren’t getting much pushback they may not care to keep you happy if they have others lined up. |

Yeah I’m not too proud, what really set me off was when he implied it was my fault for delaying the pickup by a few days and wasn’t helpful or sympathetic at all. It’s a shame it had to come to that but in the end I actually stopped getting screwed over so it is what it is I guess…

What sucks also is that in normal times you could threaten to not buy the car and they might try to work something out. But we all know they could easily sell your car to someone else right now. |

ZERO unspoken for 2 Series coupes within 200+ miles by me. Don't have a lot of pull but are looking at Audis and decided to stick with the ordered car. |

For those of us who didn't take delivery of their car, double check your warranty effective date when you do. I was getting emails from BMW to set up my car in the app, almost as if I had taken delivery as planned. So I just logged onto "My Garage" and it's showing my warranty effective date of when I was supposed to take delivery. Assuming BMW will correct it all when the date is input for my sales contract - but I certainly will be paying attention |

I heard on another forum that a fix should be rolled out by 10/20. Haven’t heard any confirmation yet from my sales associate but will update if I receive any more news or can find anything official.

I am also wondering if the vehicle has been registered already. If so, will I also be paying excise tax from that date? Many items to be aware of and stay on top of. |

Had a nice conversation with my CA this morning - he's doing his best to get answers. Here's my updates:
1. My quoted finance rate of 3.9% will be honored. 2. The "in-service" date warranty and service schedule will reflect the date of the sales contract - he thinks "my garage" will update once that is done but hasn't confirmed with BMW. 3. BMW NA will be reimbursing me for my lost travel costs related to the PCD (not the dealer) and he is working with them to get that done. 4. Dealer doesn't want to offer me a significant discount on the winter tire set, however is working via BMW NA to see if something is possible (seems fair - I'm sure the dealer would prefer to deliver the car as that's how they get paid). 5. Anticipated software fix is complete by late October/early November (I think they are being conservative as to not "over-promise") 6. BMW will do everything they can to schedule a quick PCD. I told them I would like it within two weeks once we have the fix done, which gives me a little time to rearrange my schedule and make travel arrangements. While I would rather have the car (particularly since I sold my DD), the dealer and BMW have said all the right things...so far. |

Guess it depends on whether the SA cares enough to even check first! |
