Thumbs up E92 335i CP-E EXHAUST KIT (PICS AND VIDS)

The next thing from the BOV, I needed to have the exhaust, can not stand the bents and bumps on stock exhaust (even it sounds great), I ask them what about exhaust, they said, No Problem!

Took them about two days to finish it, but overall, great results!!!!!!

Well, first off, factory exhaust was nice, but if you have notice, they have vacuum hose connected to left side (driver) of muffler, so it only opens up under vacuum pressure (WOT, wide open throttle). Also, if you see the factory exhaust under the lift, you will see lots of squizzed, bumps, bends, RESTRICTIONS on it. Lots of power loss from these. Also the sizes are 2.25in.

With their exhaust, dual 2.5 in from each headers, all the way to the rear bumper, minimized the bends, two resonators, two high performance hand-made mufflers, X-pipe, etc... The best part of this exhaust system is the sounds. It just like driving a Ferrari. On idel, it rumbles, at high rpm, it screams. BUT, it is not actually loud versus other aftermarket exhaust system. I had over 50 different types of exhausts on my previous cars, and overall, this is the most best in quility, best in sounds, system.

They probably going to have in production line soon, just hang tight for a few days. I will have the Dyno sheet, probably within a week or so.

Again, CP-E :rocks: !!!

Cheers,

-John Kim

If that exhaust setup above is "ricey", any dual exhaust is ricey. That exhaust is, by far, the cleanest custom exhaust built in 2 days. Tip is subtle, not huge like ricers. Some people really mis-use the term "rice".

I really want to hear this john. Please post a video clip ASAP.

I agree -- especially with the muffler clamps visible and the overly-large tips with a downward angle. Fix those two things, and you have a winner!

Not bad. I thought the reason for the vacuum controlled valve was to increase torque at low rpms.

thank you for the comments.
Personally, I had many ricey cars, also, I own two as I type (excluding 335i), This exhaust is I think, far.. way far from ricey. If I really wanted the ricey look and sounds, I would probably went for Dual HKS Carbon-Ti, but.. nono..

I hopely have some video soon..

Looks good IMO... About the best that it could with a bumper with a single cutout. Personally I would like to see a Quad setup with something like a M-tech rear bumper.

RICE is the most overused word on BMW boards!!!

wow...impressive work....i just don't like the tips....i would switch out to smaller dual tips on each side...i think it's the large grapefruit size tips that make it look a bit "ricey"...

as you can see from the pictures, and also, by looking at your own car, there is no place to put "QUAD" tips on our bumper.

It would be nice to have something like that, but we worked hard with what we got, instead of cutting the bumer out for quad tip, we just went with the tips that we had in stock.

Thanks for the all the responses guys! We obviously want to hear everything you like, and dislike about the exhaust system.

So it sounds like people don't like the tips we chose. Because this was just a prototype kit, we can change out the tip style to just about anything you want for the final version. Let us know which style you guys prefer, and we'll make it happen
