PPK Flash every n55 Needs it!!
Just a FYI, if you guys want the ppk flash and are unsure on how to code your car, shoot joe@topgearsolutions a PM.
Just got my car remotely flashed by joe and it only took 30 mins (or less if you have a fast laptop). All you basically need to do is plug the cord into your laptop and car and watch the magic happen. All applications/files you need are provided on a cd that comes with the cable. They also rent out cables (super fast shipping) if you don't have one and you get your deposit back as soon as you send it back. Love the burbles and pops I'm getting from the PPK. Price was very reasonable ** Also you can have this flash in conjunction with JB4 or COBB. All you need to do is uninstall your cobb, then reinstall or set JB4 to Map 0 Not my vids, but this is exactly how my car sounds now |

It didn't work for me. For some reason my car didn't want to communicate with the flash when we did it. It left my car stranded with just a crank. Unfortunately, I won't be trying it again. I'm a bit jealous because I wanted that exhaust note basically lol.

I want to get this done so bad! Anyone know someone that has a 2013 N55 that this worked on? I think there was 1 or 2 people on the forums that said this has worked on their car and they just got there DME updated by the dealer to the most recent version.
I talked to Joe @ top Gear and he wasn't too sure if I should try it. Any insight..?

The afterfire remains, however.

Dumb question, but how exactly does it make the exhaust louder?
I have JB4 which disables the can flap which makes a huge difference. So what beyond that does this do?

Sorry it didn't work out for you man, it did that to my car as well, tried flashing it twice and it would cancel at 5%. Left my car stranded just cranking, wouldn't start, tried one last time as desperate as I was, since my Zsub wasn't in the current DATENs, ended up getting past 5%, took a few mins, and it worked!

PPK is a modest improvement over stock. A custom protune from PTF or similar is much better though IME.

Ok please forgive my NewbieNESS of asking but what is it exactly that the PPK flash does??
I see people talking about it as though it is a tune and supposedly nets a little better HP or performance and I also see people speaking of it in regards to the sounds it produce (Which I saw on the vids, very awesome burbles and pops). What is the real or the intended benefit of the PPK? Thanks and please try not to rape this BMW Noob for asking.

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...WPowerkit.aspx it's a mild tune, but it also changes something in the ecu to allow more pops and burbles from the exhaust. The reason for getting this flash is mainly for the exhaust tone not for performance |

How many miles did you have on that first charge pipe? My charge pipe went at like 44,000 with stock boost. No tunes at all.
