Run In Service (2,000 Kms)
I have my car booked in for the 2,000 km (1200 mile) run-in service next Tuesday.
I am curious to understand what changes will be noticeable after this service, does the dealer unlock any additional performance from the engine, or is that the car can be driven over 5,000 rpm's. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you OBS |

The only change you will notice is that the car will stop telling you it needs service. The car will be the same as before. You should already be driving over 5000RPM if you’re following the manual. Driving under 5000RPM can be detrimental to the engine break-in, IMO. |

Does the gearbox oil also have to be changed for the MT?
I had it changed on the 1M, while my M2C was DKG so I am not sure if it's still required. |
