Constant CarPlay disruption

Various posts from other threads, seems like there are some software glitches for sure. Idrive 8 is definitely not great. Rather slow compared to most new car computers. I am having to sometimes push idrive menu buttons around knob multiple times before the screen reacts.

Most annoyingly is CarPlay (I know many think overrated, etc). but it does make stuff easy with music/podcasts/phone and of course, Waze.
Are many people with iphones having big issues with Waze and Carplay on idrive8? (I have a 13ProMax, software all updated, Waze app updated, Idrive 8 updated from most recent OTA). I'm at 1K miles in about a month and It seems every other day or 3rd day, Waze decides I am 100feet over from where I actually am and keeps trying to reroute, and eventually gives up and puts me in the middle of a park or the Ocean. (My general commute is Manhattan to and from Westchester).

Are there any fixes for this??? It will work perfect and then out of nowhere, complete haywire. I have reset idrive, reset phone, toggle airplane mode, close apps, disconnect and reconnect carplay and disconnect phone entirely. Sometimes it takes and works for the rest of the trip, sometimes not at all. I have also noticed sometimes the interference might happen more when I switch between Medias (apple music to podcasts to Sirius/radio, etc). But then it's happened without that. So IDK and it is extremely infuriating.

Anyone have any further suggestions???

This seems to be an issue with your phone GPS. I can confirm this never happens with me although there are several other issues especially with wireless apple carplay.

the biggest issue I have is that at random times, probably every other day, the steering wheel and dash buttons stop working with CarPlay.

It's a hell of a hassle, because the screen then becomes the only way to control, and it is a stretch!

But I have tons of other glitches. Gonna call one of the BMW Genius techs and get it sorted this weekend!

Quick update. Since the newest OTA update on iDrive, seems like has not been an issue so far.... Had my 1200 mile service today and service advisor said definitely been an issue with carplay. android auto seemed to have no issues.
