Interesting!!

Latest software update changed my max RPM to 6k. I think because I’m still in break in period (800 miles) over 600 miles up to 6k is ok. Under 600 miles is 5k RPM.

It was higher before the update (I think 7.5k RPM or something like that)

You also need to activate personal assistant again (turn on microphone etc) as it put that back to default.

Someone said the font may have changed, but mine is the same I think.

Nav colors updated too on the roads (display) (for the better)

Any other changes anyone noticed?

Are you sure you weren’t just looking at your RPMs with a cold engine?
The limiter should not change

It was cold start yes, does that change as driving?

Yes. The limiter is lower when the engine is cold, and it goes up to 7200 when fully warmed up.

Still cold (blue oil icon). It gets even higher when warmed up.
But yes, nothing changed. There’s already a thread or two on this, not much to write about. The font change is only for G42 (which is where you may have seen that comment).

I “think” my exhaust burbles are louder. But then again that may just be the exhaust opening up a bit with more miles on it.

I think I read something about that being fixed, but I didn’t have a problem before the update either.

Noticed this too but do think it's driving related. Opened up significantly more past 1,200kms.

I just completed the update and all the small coding changes went back to default (mirror tilt, sound system, safety warning, seat temp, etc.). Absolutely annoying.

But my main question is, how often are these updates pushed?

I spent some time back in bimmercode to change settings around. I'm not sure if this is a BMW change or a Bimmercode change...I'm not able to get get into the menu of another M car to add the bowers and wilkins sound profiles back to the sound system. That said, I don't feel like the sound system changed profiles back to stock, despite losing the B&W menus.

Really annoyed it wipes out a number of custom tweaks outside of coding too.

BMW normally do updates 3 times a year in March, July and November (03/, 07/ and 11/ updates). The OTA update is normally available as the previous version around the time the dealer gets the latest update. The update is also model independent, with the software applied across the whole model range as applicable.

Used to have the problem fairly regularly, haven't had it since the upgrade!

After the Update my Apple carplay will not work, any ideas how to fix this, or anyone else have this problem ?

My CarPlay works and gps seems fixed but it doesn't switch automatically to CarPlay when I turn the car on anymore which is really annoying.
