Any tips on installation? Did you have to remove the front grille? I ordered one and it seems impossible to install without dismantling the front.

I debadged my car-but I still get invited all the time. New Golf R just yesterday-but 100+ mph in traffic is just dumb.

Nothing removed , just screw it to grill by hand , then use tool to tight it . My sister intalled it for me . Because her hand and wrist are much smaller than me , her wrist can pass though grill gap .

Yes, that's my problem. I can barely fit my hand through the grill gap. Never mind try to hold a screw and tighten it.

Thank you.

I have a black one and it looks good. Just a little accent to the front.

Thank you.
I just pushed mine into the grill until I heard the clips click. I didn’t use the screws. It has stayed in place since.

You painted it yourself? Or bought them from a retailer?

I have the oem badge in order since long time at my dealer, but is in backorder for long now.
My dealer told me the badge is acctually for the chinese G42 market

I used the standard one. I will have to check the number.
It fits very well and tight between horizontal pilars.
Then I used the metal parts ta grab it around the vertical one from behind. There is no loose at all

I fitted one to my g42 today, a bit fiddly, I would recommend you insert the screws into the badge first, then remove the screws, before installing the badge.

£18 from the dealers

If anyone wants the part number I can post it up.

OEM front badge (as per first post pics) is chrome, mounts with a black plastic bracket + two screws + a plastic back plate
