G87 N-Ring Time

Anyone knows the G87 time?

The F87 was 7:58.

The new CTR just got 7:44.

The CTR time I believe is Cup 2 tires - not really representative with road-going tires (PS4S).

So far BMW has stated performane is much closer to M4 times than F gen, so I'm thinking somewhere between 7:30-7:35. If on Cup2's, under 7:30.

The CTR time was justified because they're going to offer the car with Cup 2's in the near future, with a "Group S" package or something like that.

Given the M4 Comp rang in a 7:28, I'd say somewhere between 7:32-37.

There was much more than different Tyres involved with Hondas lap time (they have a history of this BS).

^^^wow what crooks. I guess they thought: "cheating with tires is for sissies. Let's up the boost pressure and change the gearing like real men."

Geez, yeah, that is rather screwy. But, the CTR does hold lap records at other venues, using press cars. Like the CD Lightning Lap at VIR. So although it's annoying that Honda likely cheated here, it's still an incredible car for the money.

Well, if you can find one for MSRP that is.

Somehow though, I just can't bring myself to give up RWD and go to a FWD vehicle. Even one as well reviewed and track competent as this one is.
