KGSplitter sides, the rear pieces come with the sides. They're made from HDPE.

These look great.

Is the color actually just called "Brushed Grey" ?

Or more specifically , Grey with the Brushed finish ?

Looks much darker than grey. And looks glossy.

VT calls it brushed grey. But yeah it’s just a medium grey that’s brushed.

Here’s my set finished and on the way to me.

That's another great looking finish. Similar to my finish but definitely still different. Awesome Andy / VT gives us so many options. That case of finish options is crazy lol.

How do you like the KGSplitter kit? I remember seeing a video from KIES long time ago before I got the car so forgot about them as an option.

I think it's great for the price. It's fairly basic and somewhat subdued but that's what I wanted. And I think it works well with the Lightweight lip. I may still do carbon lip and sides eventually, but I have a slightly sloped driveway so still not sure (my STI scraped the corners of the lip).

Yup and that was my thought. Was originally leaning towards the Suvneer CF front lip but starting to worry about clearance up front due to its aggressive nature. So if I can have a subtle look without killing the clearance then win win (my last car was much lower and the front lip had clearance issues so I'm probably hyper conscious of it). And the KG complete kit is super reasonable for front, sides and rear.

After the SLAs get here will determine if I want to drop the HAS down any further which will in turn effect whether or not I go with a lip / kit.

Really can't wait to see these on your build! I have a matte PPF BSM and I'm torn between brushed grey or a brushed black. Awaiting your pics to help me with my decision ha

My wheels will be here on Friday (says UPS), picking up the tires at Tire Rack on Saturday, and have an appt to get them mounted Monday. Then I'm taking them to get ceramic coated before I put them on the car (brake dust man...haha)

Ceramic coat helps in cleaning but not prevention. Did my oem wheels too (same as last few cars). Gotta swap pads for that part.

Mine arrived today. Mounting on Friday. Ceramic done as well next week and windshield redone at the same time while there.

Been waiting 3 years since Andy told me my wheels were made and I had a 3-4 week wait time to receive them, I went and checked the date of our conversation and it's been maybe 2 weeks 😂😂 feels like a minute is a day when you know car parts are on the way I swear

Can't wait to see more pics !

On another note -

Has anyone ever had trouble with Discount Tire mounting/balancing new tires onto new custom wheels ?

I've only ever had good experiences with Discount Tire.

Or do you guys typically take your new wheels to a specialty wheel / tire shop? Or a BMW dealership?

Had tires mounted on my VT Forged wheels at a local chain as they had slightly better pricing than Discount Tire, and could get the tires same day. But when I had my STI I had Discount mount tires on TE37s a few times and never had issue.

I always prefer using a specialty shop but will use DT in a pinch. The one time DT damaged a custom forged wheel they paid to have it machined and was good as new. Annoying, but they did make it right.

Still waiting on the 3 piece center caps with CF center and ZB body color matching outer ring, so these are with the engraved ones that come default when ordered. Still looks great for being the included option. Though now I'm wondering if I want to drop the HAS down past the default, or maybe still wait til I wear out the stock PS4s since I'll likely go just a tad wider.

Ceramic coating will be done next week. Hopefully 3pc caps will be in by then too.
