Removing ceramic tints

Hello everyone. I shared in another post that I was dissapointed on how light my ceramic tints were. After 5 months of driving I decided to remove them and get them reinstalled, this time a bit darker. Life is too short to look at the car everyday and think: “I really love the car but the tints are too light”.

So, anyone has a recomendation in Los Angeles? I am in north east LA. I wont use the shop that installed the tints since for the price and reputation, the tints had just too much contamination in the back window.

I had a couple M cars tinted here, not the cheapest, but I wouldn't go cheap on tinting work either.

I've never seen a tint that didn't have a few little issues.

I had my car PPF'd and tinted at Diamond Auto Salon in Woodland Hills and I have to say they did a really great job on like 99% of the car. There's nothing in the tints that bothers me.

Aerowerkz also seems to have a reputation for being the premier PPF shop in the area, but I have not personally used them yet. They also do tints. I will be using them for my splitters, skirts, rear diffuser, and inlet PPF / install in a few months.

Geighty7 has used Aerowerkz for like 3+ of his cars and he swears by them.

Any issue should have been rectified by installer though. Standard 2 weeks for any bubbles then replaced if not addressed. Or anything not bubble relates immediately fixed.

OP don't cheap out on quality film or a quality installer. Definitely worth it. Go for the best IR/UV/heat/ glare rejection and get color / shade you want. 15-20 is solid around without impairing vision. Though wouldn't suggest darker than 70 on the windshield in most cases.

No issues with mine, just work with a reputable shop.

It’s not complicated.

Thanks. They seem to be around the same price I paid for the 3M Ceramic IR I am removing.

Yeah, the biggest issue is the darkness of the tints. I went lighter because had concerns with night visibility but it has not been not a problem. I understand there is no perfect job but the fact I had to go back to get the job looking better bothered me.

Hi DarkNight707 , just wanted to see what tint level you're removing. Curious to see what was light enough that you weren't worried about night vision.

Thanks!
