Current Owners Poll: Would You Buy Your G87 Again?

Poll as title states. I would buy mine again no questions in the same spec (so far) as i think the car broken in really nicely and is a great mix of daily ability and special feeling. Curious what others think but small sample size and all that...

EDIT: if you vote "would not buy again" some color would be nice if possible on why you would go a different direction with your purchase

the only thing i would change about my current spec is add a 360 camera (which is not available). but other than that, no complaints at all

I hit my M2 perfectly. Zero regret. ZB, Cognac, Manual, HUD, lighting, shadow, CF trim. Nothing I would change. I just HATE the small gas tank lmao

I wish I got the carbon package. I didn't want the bucket seats originally. I've changed my tune. I also want the CF mirror caps, but can't justify paying over $1k for them to add them now. (No, I'm not going to order cheap knock offs.)

I have a dream that one day, someone, somewhere, will be willing to hook me up with a good deal on some bucket seats.

I was offered them twice a few months back before I knew how valuable they were. Someone offered me their orange buckets for $4k plus my seats. I passed because at the time I didn't want orange. Then a few days later, I was offered black buckets for $6k plus my seats. I passed, believing based on the short experience I had, that these deals were readily available. Really screwed up there.

Seems like I might be in a small minority of G87 owners though. I think most people are happy with what they got. Or maybe I'm just one of few willing to admit it.

Should probably ask this when owners have had their cars for a few years. When things are new & shiny everyone thinks they're great.

After driving a loaded Chevy Bolt EUV for the year I waited for an allocation and build, I do feel a little cheated by not having ventilated seats and a 360 camera in a car that costs 2x as much.

i didnt break in yet so still driving in comfort so driving so far is boring compare to other cars lol.
my wife built the car so i dont know why she got white, handle warmer and left out auto start.

i wish there were more color options like silver or something.
wife wants 360 camera.

eh still no better car in the price range with optional seats in the back.

I love it and have no regrets. If it were stolen or totaled I would order another one exactly the same.

To anyone out there considering dropping an option in order to get the car faster, my advice is don't. Wait for what you want. It will be worth it in the end. Once you have it you won't regret having waited, but if you don't get it you'll always regret not having it.

With almost 4 months passed, no regrets. It’s a hoot.
Edit 1/16- the only change I might (emphasis) make are the port installed CF air intakes. I like what I see.

Love my G87, but honestly had a G80 X-Drive been a tad more affordable for my budget, would’ve pursued that route. More space and I’d feel more comfortable driving in shittier terrains. That being said, you really can’t go wrong either way, and I feel the G87 packs the best bang-for-buck performance out of any available sports car on the market today.

i had that same thought and i agree, but now we can replay this poll in 2026 for a little contrast and compare (IE how much of the luster wore off with the original owner group in 24 mo or so)

If this car stays trouble free, my plan is to gift it to my son when he graduates from college. So it's got 6 years to show me what it's got

MY26 with AWD is the big thing missing for me, but it probably wouldn't be available with a MT anyway, so a moot point.

I did get the lighting package, but after having the car, I don't think I personally needed it since I'm mostly in well lit urban areas.

The car is really great so far.

We have literally the same spec, absent the shadow line, which is my only regret.

This 1000%, the fact that I get better range with my BRZ is.....

I would buy again but sort of wished I had waited until MY25 for a Portimao Blue or that green that they will come out with. Otherwise very happy with it.

I wouldnt change anything, in Europe its very difficult to find a unused car with this kind of performance, quality and practicality for the price. Yes, xdrive would be nice down the road but it will be more expensive im sure, bigger tank maybe but on my last trip I drove through austria which is one of the slowest places in Europe and got 722km (450mi) range shown when i filled up 😆 not bad for a heavy sports car.

I would have gotten it as spec'd. But sometimes i think about saving the extra money and not getting the carbon buckets and roofing because the M2 is my daily.

I'd buy my car again.

Didn't order the car.

Bought the car off a dealer's lot.

Don't think I'd change a thing. Oh wait. While it has heated seats it lacks a heated steering wheel. But 40F and colder the M2 stays in the garage and I drive my 2024 BMW 230i xDrive. It has heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

I would spec buckets and remove the absolutely atrocious wireless charger.
Not ordering buckets has been my biggest regret with the car.
