Dyno Results - My Single Turbo N54 made 749WHP!

I know it's not a 3-series, but it's the redhead stepchild. Same engine, so I figure this information will be useful to you guys too! I finally strapped my 135i onto the dyno this weekend and am thrilled with the results. I can't find a higher published power output from a PTE 6266 on an N54! Now I need to put my Draggy to use so I can see how I compare to some of you guys...

I did a handful of pulls at various power levels and attached the logs below. This should give everyone a good idea of what a properly set-up 6266 can do from low boost to high boost. You can find my complete modification list at the bottom. And yes, this is a JB4 car!

All pulls done in 4th gear (manual transmission). DynoJet with STD correction.

Watch the video with speedo & exhaust angles... plus lots of awesome turbo noises. I also explain a lot of stuff as I'm dynoing the car.

Shoutout to John @ Doc Race for providing an awesome single turbo kit and support. I can't wait for that intake manifold. Terry @ BMS for the log feedback and guidance. Ken @ WedgePerformance for a personalized backend flash and good communication. Steven @ BMP for the quality port injection kit. Tiago @ VRSF for an awesome intercooler and Robert @ Precision Raceworks for the fuel setup and ignition kit. This car wouldn't be the beast it is without you guys!

Let me know what you think!

LSD on the way, with a sticky 17" wheel/tire setup!

Thanks man! LSD will happen... although I will say I'm very impressed with the factory differential at this power level.

Great results Jake! I followed the build on your youtube channel. A lot of money for all the parts though, especially in comparison on the price of a 335i car. Dont you miss the massive torque down low? I do a lot of drifting and think I would miss the fast spool from the twins...

Yeah, it wasn't cheap. But I didn't cut corners and used the best parts I could (in my opinion). If you're on a budget, it could be done for much less.

The twins (stock and upgraded) are more torquey, but this has so much power on the top end. I think for drifting, you might want to stick with a twin turbo setup though...

I like this single turbo route somehow, too bad here in Belgium it's not possible to pass annual technical inspection with that big blower mounted right in clear sight on top of the motor... So if I upgrade when my stockers go it will be twins I guess.

In the USA there is no problem with inspection, police or car insurance on topmount ST kits?

It depends on the state. I know California is very strict with their laws for cars. But where I live, we don't have inspections or any of that.

No other platform can be pushed this hard from factory. Still waiting for someone to break the 1000hp barrier.
