Thinking of selling, need pricing and other advice please.
Thinking of selling my 2007 325i E92. Space grey, cream interior, based in Melbourne.
Initially bought for work in real estate almost 9 years ago, but soon after I bought it, I got a job in another industry, and it has only really ever been used as a second/weekend car. Done only 104,000 KM and had full service done just recently at 100,000KM. I have personally done less than 40,000 KM since I bought it in 2015 @ around 65,000 KM. Very good condition, always maintained, can show full service history/receipts going back to when I first purchased it. Really not sure what a reasonable asking price would be, as the prices being asked on Carsales vary considerably, and most have done a lot more KMs than mine. However, there is one fairly major issue that I need to mention. The I-drive is no longer works. This happened after my car was left for a year in my garage whilst I was aboard. The battery completely died, and I took it to the mechanic to be fixed. They ‘supplied and fitted the new battery and reprogrammed and coding CAS module and ECU control unit’ (that’s what it says on the invoice). He got the car going again, but unfortunately, the I-drive would not come back on, and according to him, needs to be replaced. It is not the fuses. I am in two minds whether to try and sell it as it is at a discount, or to replace the I-drive and then try to sell it. It is possible that a new one is not needed, and that it just needs the attention of a BMW technician. My regular mechanic (who I have used for servicing the past few years), although very good, is not a Euro specialist. If I was to have the I-drive replaced, I'm guessing installing a more snazzy aftermarket one would be better, rather than putting another standard old one in? Anyway, I would really appreciate your advice regarding the I-drive situation, and what you think a fair asking price would be as is OR with a new I-Drive. Thanks |

probably not worth replacing the idrive with an aftermarket head unit. Better to sell as is and let the new owner put in what they want
Not sure how much you would get on the private market but my guess would be 12-15K Car looks in good condition for its age Good luck with the sale |
Appreciate
