I love looking at threads where the OP poses a question then answers it.

Cross shop with various places, The internet is wonderful.

getbmwparts.com or bmwpartspros.com

Find the part number for the coils for your cars at realoem.com, enter them into the system on those sites.

Wanted to add this to the forums...

I just purchased 4 ignition coils from www.CarParts.com for $35 each and free shipping. Pretty good deal IMHO. They had good ratings from www.ResellerRatings.com and I think others on this forum have had success with them as well. Best price I could find after searching for about 15 minutes...

My only question is... according to RealOEM.com, the part number is 12137594937, but the part number listed on CarParts.com (and other sellers) is W0133-1848325... I'm assuming these correlate?

I don't think there have been high failure rates of Coils, like Injectors and HPFP, so even if they are not the MOST updated PN, they should work well. I got my coils from them too and they have been holding up great.

OK good to know... nothing worse than a bogus on-line retailer that takes a month to ship something and then gets the order wrong...

Somehow I've already had 3 coils fail on me... =( Replaced 2 over the past year, right now I have a 3rd failed coil... so I'm just going to go ahead and get ready to have replacements for the other 3... 70k miles on my car and been tuned for about 4 years (car is on '07)...

My first coil failed at 61k tuned the whole time, so rather than getting interrupted with another failed coil, I went ahead and replaced all 6. I would just swap them now. Could you imagine you're out on a road trip and you're interrupted with a failed coil? Just swap em all now.

$69 for plugs ans $69 for two coils sounds about right. $69 for six coils would be suspect.

I misread as I thought you were saying all six coils for 69 dollars...that's why I said 11.50 for each plug.

Just to follow-up on my initial post, I am having a great experience with CarParts.com. Got a great deal on Bosch ignition coils ($35 each with free S&H), the product was processed and shipped out IMMEDIATELY on the first business day (Ordered Saturday, processed and shipped Monday) and received coils today (Tuesday; this is in part because they were shipped from a warehouse in Edison, NJ which is just 30 minutes from me). Great customer service over the phone, and give great e-mail communication as to the status of your order.

Only thing left is to test out the coils!

UPDATE: Coils work perfectly... misfires gone and, furthermore, hesitant/rough acceleration jitters (not quite causing misfire) are gone as well. Carparts.com has my stamp of approval!
