Red face Getting away from RFT - TIPS?

2011 335i Convertible

Now that I'm due for new tires, I'm seriously considering moving away from Run Flats. I was quoted the ExtremeContact DWS06+ 34348 225/45/17 - 91W .Seems to be a well-rated tire.

Here are the benefits I've read about (online and in this forum):
- less expensive
- smoother ride
- longer lifespan

Drawbacks:
- requires a tow, since I've got no spare

*What about the computer's TPM? Does that still work with this tire?
**Is a product similar to "holt's tyre weld" worth having on hand, or does it make things worse from a repair standpoint? I'm in the US, btw.
***Do these tires perform better in the snow than RFT?
****Am I missing anything?

tpms is tire independent

dws06+ is a great tire for 3 seasons and light snow. for packed snow and freezing rain you need snows.

for longer trips you have an option to carry Slime bottle, tire repair kit and spare wheel. Most of the time you get a slow leak and not total rupture since Contis are excellent.
