M Performance arm rest

M Performance Alcantera armrest. Takes roughly 20 minutes to install. Please let me know what questions you have and I'll answer them. This is the same unit for just about any G series interior, I believe it will fit a G42 & G20 as well as the G8X cars as they share the same parts.

Looks pretty nice especially with the buckets, I'm hesitant to pull the trigger cause I know alcantara doesn't wear very well

How well do you think the "M Performance" logo will hold up? I saw a youtuber say one of his letters fell off within a month.

It's not that hard to maintain really, just clean it and brush it and it's 100% back to normal.

I honestly think it will be fine, it's not exactly a high touch item. I don't think my arm actually rests on the letters. I don't believe the arm rest will have any issues whatsoever actually. I can update this thread in a few months but I think it's going to be golden for the rest of the vehicles life.

Thanks for sharing. I was on the fence about this but after seeing it with the carbon seats, I was sold. I added it to my build and it will be port installed.

I covered the entire interior of my Z06 in Alcantara & have an Alcantara & carbon fiber steering wheel. Imo, it wears better than leather. I wouldn't pay BMW's msrp for this, but the discount online parts stores have it for ~ 30% off so it might be worth it.

I paid $288 for it. At that price its well worth it. That's the BMW employee discount price from the dealership parts department. And no, I don't work for the dealership lol.

Yeah, I found it for $283 online. I agree it's worth it at that price.

www.bmwpartscenter.com. I buy all my oem parts from these guys. They're the cheapest I've found.

Not that I'm aware of. This was the only one that I've seen. I like the M accents, they're not overwhelming.

If one has that issue, they should probably get it checked out. Alcantara is very easy to maintain.

I'll be installing mine next week, really looking forward to it. Do they come with instructions on how to install it? From what I can tell, I need to take off the back of the arm rest to gain access to the hinge to install it?

+1 on Alcantara being durable. My old STI had alcantara seats and interior and the driver seat after 12 years still looked very good. Alcantara is a synthetic material, very fade resistant and can be cleaned. It holds up far better than leather.
