Music and concert experiences pls post pics
Hello all,
I though I would start a new thread for music lovers beyond what you are listening to at the moment. I have been blessed to see many shows in my time pretty close so I thought I would share some pictures I have taken and share some concert experiences. |

I have seen Santana about 10 times maybe more. My favorite was the reunion show at MSG with Greg Rolle and Neil Schoen. It was really breathtaking, an unforgettable evening. I always found it strange that Neil moved to a heavy commercial pop sound with Journey.

No photos from me for the most memorable concert I went to -- in 1968 -- in Alexandria, Virginia.
Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company Before the concert, I thought Janis was OK. Afterwards, I became a big fan and immediately went out and bought the album. Unfortunately, Janis -- like so many others -- was a bright burning flame that was extinguished too soon. R.I.P.

Last night at Humphrey’s in San Diego. Blackberry Smoke from the front row. They put on a great show! I bought the suite package, and our suite is right next to the backstage entrance. I met Richard Turner, the bass player, and had a nice chat with him after the sound check. Tonight is ZZ Top. No tix for it but will be sitting on our patio drinking nice wine and enjoying the show.

Sorry, trying to upload the pic and deleted to start over.
Super Bowl Of Rock Game #3 July 10, 1977. Soldier Field, Chicago, IL. Lineup: Ted Nugent, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38. Special and Journey. A dozen of us got in line at 3:00 am for a 10:00 am entrance. Astounding we all found each other afterwards (and during). We were on the field, front center .

Eight years ago this weekend we were at one of the last Moody Blues concerts. This was the scene from Knights in White Satin.

Anyone young enough to appreciate being at Coachella 2002 when they recorded the Essential Mix with Pete Tong, BT, and Oakenfold - this was one of the most memorable live shows of my life -

My very first concert was opening nite at Warehouse Nola. The Flock, Fleetwood Mac and the Great tful Dead. Been a Peter Green fan ever since. Allegedly Owsley spiked the water dispensers with LSD. Couldn't tell you one way or the other, was already busy. The Dead got busted the night before and we were concerned they might not show. To my complete surprise, there's a bootleg recording of the show for both nights (same lineup the next day). Surpringly listenable. I don't know if it's the Dead recording or not.
Sorry no Pic but a link to page of history and link to a copy of the bootleg https://albumsthatshouldexist.blogsp...rleans-la.html Last edited by Roadcrew; 11-03-2024 at 09:03 AM.. Reason: Changed double if to if it's added link |
