expected costs for n55 downpipe install
Hey guys,
Roughly what should I expect for install costs from shops? What did you guys pay for a shop to do the install for you? I've never had to get anything installed at a non dealer so I don't know what are typical rates charged. From what i've found with searching a good shop should be able to do an N55 downpipe in 2 hrs. |

No more than $250.
Do you happen to need a downpipe? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=827770 |

I didnt go to a shop. It took my friend and I about 2 hours to install my AR DP. We are not professional mechanics... we did it with some rhino ramps... its not complicated. The hardest part is the darn Ring Clamp... everything else is butter... make sure the car is cold the DP gets hot real quick... The reason I didn’t get a shop to install it, is that I need the experience since I am going to be taking the DP off each time SMOG check comes around and don’t want to pay 200 bucks per install of AR DP to OEM DP and vice versa... hate CALI regulations.. |
