Luckily, I received the car (still at the dealers) prior to the mandatory door trim option being forced; I am not a fan of that; although, I do like the illuminated dash trim. Hopefully I have some illumination on the dash and not just solid glossy black.
Really stinks that purple is gone. It has been my interior illumination color in my current car for 7 years! |

for those lucky enough to have your car, does the voice command for contour still work? assuming the new illuminated dash will also follow the contour color...

I can’t believe the poor communication from BMW to customers and the website department can’t even be arsed to update the configurator. . |

That is what I am hoping for. On BMWs website when searching for 2023 240 parts/accessories the dry carbon does show up and says it fits but I am assuming this is another glitch. I have not seen anyone with a 2023 and carbon fiber trim yet.

I would imagine the dry carbon center console trim and cupholder lid will fit but for sure not the upper dash trim. The dry carbon interior trim pieces comes as a complete kit from what I understand. If BMW does end up releasing a dry carbon interior kit for MY2023+ it wouldn’t include the dash trim because the M illumination and regular illumination dash piece must be transparent.

I saw that last night and was immediately disappointed lol. I am wondering if it is still possible just to replace your dash piece with the carbon fiber and eliminate the illumination?
