The rest is just different variations, I'm not exactly sure why everyone has different numbers but it's possibly down to different regions or spec's of the car itself.

The next one should be 03/2023 that will be available in March for dealers/ Cars built this month onwards and then a little while down the line for air update.

Updates are normally every 4 months (March, July, November) But always take a few extra months to get released via air update.

That would make sense except what's weird is that my car was probably the second or third group of 2023 models that were built after that hiatus between model years in the middle of last summer, so I would say it was one of the earlier examples out for 2023 model year. However I see other members with 2023 model year getting updates, and they are also in my region (NA). Also my app says the the update is ready for my car, but my car still won't update. Does that mean the app will continue to say there is an update ready for my car until the next update is released in a few months?

Mine was the same, second week of August but came with 07/22
Have you had any dealer updates at all or trips to the dealer? They might of updated it.

Other than maybe trying to delete the my BMW app from the phone and then re-pair with the car's Bluetooth I would be a bit stuck on what else to try.

Yeah same here. I didn't do anything different. Just walk to my car after work today and checked to see there's finally a progress bar

Maybe your battery charge level had finally gone to a level that allowed the installation?

They must have been pushed from BMW.
Mine updated today as well.

Few things I've noticed in few hrs:
-With backup camera on, switching driving mode no longer deactivates camera (e.g. comfort -> sport, or vice versa)
-I've also noted steering feel changed a bit on unwind.
It is marginally better.
So ppl reporting steering feel change aren't mistaken.

Just got the notification in the app this morning while waiting at the dealership for the rear seat airbag cover recall. That took 2 hours . I guess I have to go for a nice drive however; low battery charge, cannot upgrade at this time on the Idrive screen!

Today, my 11/2022.27 is updating to 11/2022.60 as I type this.

Since update on my ID8:
- only 1 click to start the car remotely through app. Used to take 2 clicks. 1st click fails. 2nd starts it up. Now 1 click and starts up without error.
- in Sport+ seems to hold the gears longer when driving spirited. That can be a good and bad thing....depending on situation.
.. so far thats all I noticed....

Updated mine today. All apps functioning, nothing disappeared.
Only change is when I change modes while driving, the screen does not change as it has. Same for everyone ?

So I made the mistake of updating an hour before I left work and then it bricked my car. I couldn't start it what so ever and it left my lights and speedometer on. The iDrive screen is completely black. Had to unplug the battery just so it didn't die.. oh and did I mention all in the middle of a blizzard. Here's to waiting for the Master Technicians to come into work to hopefully help me remotely. FML.

Definitely making a mental note to my future self to be careful about when I install an iDrive update.

Yes, I can confirm that after the update, while in Android Auto screen if I change any of my driving modes the screen doesnt change anymore , it still stays on Android Auto. But if I am on the home screen of my idrive8 , then changing the driving modes will change the screen also briefly like before the upgrade.

I let it sit about an hour before realizing it wasn't going to turn off. Here's to hoping a not-so-long turnaround. It's happened to people before with other models, just not super common.

So I saw that a remedy was available last week in My Garage on BMW Connected website. Booked service online at my local dealer. Got a call a few minutes later confirming and asking for VIN. Confirmed open recall, put me on hold, hit up the parts manager, parts will be here for your Thursday time slot. See ya then. Fixed.
Downloaded and installed OTA earlier. Make sure you follow the prompts! After the prerequisites are met in the checklist, I finally got the update in progress, you can now leave and lock the car. Heading out now to check settings and see if it starts

After giving the go ahead for the car to update when I parked the car for the night day before yesterday, in the morning the weather app was gone from Home screen. I did the 30-sec volume press, the iDrive rebooted, but the weather app was still absent. So I did it again, weather still absent. So I started checking settings such as seat positions, Sirius favorites, etc. for about 5 minutes; all fine. Then suddenly the weather app reappeared when I returned to the Home screen.

It looks like it does need some uptime to finishing straightening things out.

I'll see if the comfort mode steering is different; yesterday the pouring rain here in SoCal made it hard to tell...
