Aggressive Exhaust

Any ideas for a decent exhaust system for 07 E92?

Can't go wrong with Cobb Catback. Remus is also a great brand. VRSF is the somewhat more economical option , but still has quality.

Aside from the weight loss there isn't any real performance benefit, so it's mostly down to the sound you like. Just search around YouTube, or go to some meets and listen to different options and see what you like.

The bottleneck in the exhaust system is the stock catted DP's. If you don't already have catless downpipes , get them first. That releases some growl.
A catless DP-back exhaust gives negligible whp. It's mainly for the sound. I have VRSF downpipes and a VRSF DP-back exhaust. The sound is loud and aggressive, without rasp. My wife doesn't like the loudness, so I might need to go back to the stock exhaust.

Agreed. Even a downpipe with stock exhaust would sound really good...

A downpipe with a high flow exhaust system would be extremely loud.

Downpipes are the same money as a catback yet still provide a great sound with much more performance Gains.

Lmfao! Oh god...

I suggest:

Catless downpipe. Keep your secondary cats if you wanna deal with smell, but I have a feeling you give no fucks like me and would remove the secondaries. If you do remove them, replace them with two vibrant resonators. Next, upgrade your x-pipe to a better quality stainless steel one.

Lastly, do the PE mod to your stock muffler or replace it all together with something high flow like Remus.

All of the PE setups sound horrid IMO. Personally I think the N54 really sounds pleasant/smooth/aggressive with a single piped system. I have a custom mandrel bent setup on my wagon as it is an E6X and gets no love from most tuners but the price of custom setups can make people shy away.

The Black Market Racing exhaust is the only OTS setup I have heard that sounds good and hands down what I would get if I owned a E8X or E9X.

Can't you just buy a vrsf exhaust and then modify it? That's what I'm thinking about doing

I think you're best off deleting your secondary cats and keeping your resonator instead. Or upgrade your x pipe if you have a coupe.

Catless Downpipes + Corsa exhaust
Catless + Dinan is another good option

If you do not mind the quad look, REMUS is the best sounding system

BMR for sure. All the dual options sound similar imo, they just vary by volume and drone levels

Our downpipe & 3.5" catback combo are a great option if you want a drone free exhaust that's louder than stock and still don't want to anger the neighbors every time you drive your car

It also weighs about 35 lbs less than the stock exhaust and other exhausts that have two individual 3" pipes.

Strongly recommend the VRSF downpipe.

Unless you have too much money to waste, a catback doesn't make any sense IMO to be honest. Delete your secondary cats, change out the muffler and you got something almost as good for a fraction of the price. Win/win.

Muffler delete is epic on n54, its the only way they sound good, i get nothing but wows from people on meets and at the strip ect.

People might disagree because snobbery, but its seriously the way to go. Muff delete, dct and mhd burbles are ridic.

The muffler delete with catless downpipes is very raspy and has an unbearable amount of drone. If you're going to go with the muffler delete I'd recommend a couple of resonators in the catback to balance out the drone & rasp.

There are a lot of people who will agree with you but drone, rasp, and farty sounds is what I hear with a muffler delete. The E9X cars have more rasp and fart where the E6X is only drone since it has a big single piped resonator.

I wouldn't call it snobbery but rather subjective preference the single 3" or 3.5" setups sound a lot cleaner and still aggressive which I prefer as you get the sound of the engine without a lot of the annoying byproducts (rasp, fart, drone). Many muffler delete "enthusiasts" have limited experience with exhaust setups other than stock so they love the added noise.
