Side turn signals stopped working
At some point recently both side turn signals stopped working on my E90 LCI. The rest of the lighting and electricals work fine. I am getting codes 009CBB, 00A8B5, 00A8B4, 00A8B1 and 00A8B0. I’ve tried replacing the bulbs, replacing the side turn signal sockets and housing, checking for fuses (there are none specific to the bulbs, just the FRM), checking the seating of some of the other lighting, and checking Carly for any accidental coding out of turn signals (which does not appear to be possible). All looks ok.
I‘ve done a fair amount of work on the car’s electricals over the past year, including a new head unit and exterior lighting. But if this were causing an issue with the side turn signals, it seems odd it would affect only the side turn signals and nothing else, especially given the troubleshooting above. I’m wondering if it could be something with the FRM (short circuit counter?) or an issue with the car’s wiring harness. Edit: it was the short circuit counter and possibly some bad coding.
