Video DIY - Rear Subframe Inserts
A sloppy rear end isn't something your BMW should ever have... but ours was starting to get that way... so we had to do some work on one of the cars in the fleet and wanted to show you how easy to install these inserts are! We went with 034 Subframe Inserts in this E90 330i, they are an easy bandaid for bushings showing age, and a great upgrade for fresh bushings on the E9X 3 Series.
I hope yall enjoyed! -James |

Heads up that there is a specific kit for E91 models, found that out the hard way the other night on mine. Rear upper insert did not fit in my car, although the rear lower and upper/lower front inserts did fit fine.
Still made a significant difference in ride quality - you can feel bumps being absorbed by the shocks now instead of the bit of secondary jounce/oscillation it used to have that I'm realizing was the subframe moving. Noticeably less drivetrain windup too. Well worth the cost and ~2hrs to install. |
