Only carbon buckets will have Merino leather. Look at pics, even center armrest is still the grainy varnasca leather. Recent video showed rear seats will also not be in Merino leather. Really devalues the carbon buckets in my opinion and the entire Carbon Pack with it.
Shady for BMW to call it full merino when ordering buckets. Here we thought we might get leather dash and door cards, when in fact you don't even get merino armrest or rear seats.
Only thing I can think of maybe pre-production cars are what we have seen so far. We won't know until customer deliveries.

If that is the case, that is nuts. Customers are supposed to tick a box for $9900 and hope that their car shows up with Merino leather back seats.

M Racetrack Package. Anyone know what it includes finally? I suspect the Cup2's plus something else, but it's just a hunch.

I find it difficult to believe BMW would put different leather in a "Full Marino" interior. They probably just didn't have Marino leather 2 Series rear seats ready for their pre-production units.

I wasn't able to find a conclusive answer to this so, does anyone know if the G87 has lane keep assist like it's bigger siblings?

I have read that it has lane departure warning, but unsure if that means the car will also center itself in a lane and signal the driver to touch the wheel.

If so, which package does it come with, if not standard?

Won't center itself. That would require DAP, which is not offered.

You'll have lane departure warning as well as steering intervention...which only bumps you back into your lane.

No one has any real idea. Just a wait and see approach unfortunately.

I see no front camera, so I'm assuming no Drive Recorder feature also, correct?

Correct. No park assist package = No drive recorder.

Production begins week 49. That begins on Monday, November 28th. Vehicle launch is not until April 2023. They have plenty of time.

Assuming there are still 52 weeks in a year, week 49 starts Monday December 5th. Maybe they count it differently in Germany.

Even though deliveries aren't until April, I'd think they would want to have a US configurator up before production starts.

You are absolutely correct, for whatever reason the week calendar I had previously looked at was incorrect. They will likely slow ramp on week 48 though. I would not be surprised if the SLP Instagram posted something when G87 production begins. They did with the G42.

Truthfully, I have no idea why BMW just did not wait to ramp-up G87 production until after the holidays?

Maybe to squeeze in just a handful of 50th anniversary cars.

Not sure about that. Skip to 3:50 mark.

Truthfully those will more than likely be a select few HEA cars. Highly doubtful they will be pumping out G87s come SOP as well. FYI, unlike the U.S. other markets will still be able to order the 50th Anniversary emblems in 2023.

I'm surprised the Carbon Package is so hardcore that it includes (mandates?) Cup2 tires. That's another significant reason to make sure buyers really want those seats.

I'm not sure if the USA spec is different because the Zandvoort promo/press car has Pilot Sport 4 S tires and the carbon package on it

It raises the speed limiter as well right ?

Maybe we get to choose Cup2 or PS4S in the States . Would love some clarification from someone more knowledgeable in this area.

I've been seeing conflicting news in regards to this , not the option to choose that just my guess. But what tires it comes with
