alcantara wheel, armrest, shift knob and boot hopefully. As much good alcantara as i can get on the inside.

new wheels next summer and switch the stock to winters. need recommendations for mixing with TR

Considering wrapping it green or yellow, xpel stealth or a satin wrap not sure well see.

Tune + performance once i learn the car very well and get bored

I've got the Richland forged link bookmarked and figured I'd call the 3-5 prospects (all have a similar look to the ones you are getting) once I have an allocation. You are a few months ahead of me though since you found that hea.

Gonna keep an eye on your project since we seem to be going similar routes.

Wanted the mperf exhaust and HAS, but once I saw the price for mperf exhaust and found out the suspension couldn't be port installed I started thinking of what I want to do instead.
I will no longer be looking for an aftermarket lowering solution, HAS can now be port installed.

It looks like port installed HAS costs 2820. Seems a little steep for me. I might hold off considering my employee discount on parts and labor might be much less than that. Retail on the parts is only 1790.

I don’t live far from BMWNAHQ, wondering if they’re hiring…

On top of not being sure if I would be satisfied with the maximum range these can drop considering how much wheel gap the G87 has, this price point has just made my decision easier. Definitely going aftermarket.

It's surprising what some of the differences are between cost and retail. Some parts have 50% markup.

I don’t have any mods planned for the near future. I have a feeling this car is going to be a great daily drive straight out of the box, and it seems to sound great with the stock exhaust valves open. However, after finally seeing the car in person I think I’ll need to have the muffler painted black. It is wayyy too visible from the rear. I’m guessing a simple can of high heat rustoleum should work just fine.

Thoughts???

That's a common way of handling the udder.

Mine will come in Sapphire Black and I’ll do right away the following changes:

- 1000M Bronze wheels
- ECU Tune
- Pipercross Airfilter
- Midpipe (OPF, secondary cat and resonator delete)

Depending on how it drives with the 20/21”, I’ll also be putting a HAS or KW V3 afterwards.

One thing people don't seem to talk a lot about is the 3-4db noise increase with just this rim/tire setup. That is roughly 50% perceived noise level increase. Not worth it to me.

Yes I agree. To be honest I wanted to go for the 827M wheels, but the dealer stated he cannot order it since it is not “foreseen by the system” for the M2… Anyhow I will not have too many issues with some decibels more since it will be my weekend car. And hopefully the exhaust note will overtake the tyre noise 😃

$2820 option z58.

I also opted for the cf trunk deck spoiler. It's the only cf part on the entire car so if it looks off I'm gonna wrap it in satin black with the roof (around the sunroof) and the air inlets at the bottom of the bumper, along with satin black wheels.

My only dilemma now is seeing if I can get a set of wheels with the right offset to not need spacers.

I was looking at Richland Forged earlier today after you mentioned them and their offsets seem very conservative - suited to the Supra more than M cars. Are they doing a special set for you?

From my understanding, they will do what you want. They offer "tuner" spec as well which is more aggressive.

The set up we're trying is ET +14 front +11 rear.

I want close to OEM setting.

Also keep in mind that they don't have offerings specific for G8X platform yet. That's part of what I'm piloting.

I'm really interested in Richland forged also, just trying to find the right offset. If they are looking for any more future g87 owners to team up with let me know if there is someone I should contact.

Teeing up our first mods at the moment, think the steering wheel is going to be the first. Just done an Alcantara wheel on the G42 and love it!

Anyone going for straight downpipes? I am actually thinking to keep the whole catback OEM. I am worried about the smell, but I am not sure if with secondary cats + OPF (EU spec) + muffler it is even noticeable. Catted downpipes might be a good compromise, but I don’t expect great DB gains. Huge dilemma 🥹

Why not go with high flow catted downpipe? Catless will be loud, smell and could cause CELs you may not be able to clear.
