A 65 year old mute, mentally retarded, (had a walker in the back seat), and had a stroke 4 weeks before, man, caused a head on collision on an e46 M3 I bought 23 hours before in January...

He was going 70 mph entering a tunnel with a slight left curve, tossed his Ford Explorer sideways, and plowed right into us in our lane (we were going 40), = hitting wall at 110.

Broken ribs, legs, lung contusions, etc. were a result. Permanent damage to all of us in the M3. He didn't wear a belt and suffered a broken wrist.

I'm in for a 60+ intense driver re-test petition. Set it up!!!

..is not just the elderly.

There are plenty of inept drivers of all ages.
I really think that there should be a hearing, vision, simple competence and reaction time test given to all drivers every 4 years or so, regardless of age.
