Just picked up my e92, suggestions??
Hey guys Im kinda new to the scene as I just got my car a fews ago. Its an 2007 328xi coupe AW/CR. bought it used from a private dealership and now Im just looking into some options for cheap mods.
Im really interested in updating the bulbs for the angel eyes so they shine white instead of the standard yellow. Is this mod simply just changing out the original H8 35w bulbs with new ones? or do i need to some further work to make it work right without getting any errors. Also, I wanted to exchange the chrome kidney grills for matte black ones, and get ride of the front license plate. only problem with that is the holes on the front bumper that remain. is there any sort of plugins for the holes so I can avoid paying out the ass to a body shop? Another issue is one of the cup holders in the front is broken, the passenger side door sill is coming off a little on the edge, and the passenger side trim behind/below the door is not properly fitted so its loose. Are these things that my factory 50k warranty will cover through bmw? Let me know what everyone thinks about these mods and if you have any suggestions from previous experience. I really need the input from someone who has dealt with similar issues. Thanks |

Definitely go with black kidney grills, you can easily paint them. Then:
-Paint match side reflectors -vinyl chrome window trim black (bmwshadowline.com is where i got mine) -vinyl roof black Those are pretty cheap mods that make your car look great |

thanks man Ill look into these. Do you know the general costs for these mods? Also, does anyone know what I can do about the front license plate removal? I really want to get rid of it but dont want to have the holes on my front bumper.

I just got my first cheap mods a month ago ! What I did was 1 . Matt black grills 2 . Clear reflectors ( I like this better cause if you did it white you would see the out line of where the reflector "was" " 3 . Debaged next thing I'm gonna do is possible silverish white window tint? When I got my e92 the driver's cup holder would come out but would not drop. I had to manually press down on it. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced it with the brand new ones (with an aluminum plastic piece that you press on). I wouldn't worry about anything as long as you are within the warranty. |
