Hi all!
Since I bouth my 328 a few days ago, I wanted to try it out this weekend.
I made a short trip (about 110 miles per way) and when it was time to get back home I noticed the "Service engine soon".
Using the scanner of my brother, the only error that was showing was the p1449.
Diagnostic Module tank leakage (DM-TL) pump current too high.

For what I found over the internet and this forum, everyone recommends 2 things:

1. Replace leak diagnostic pump (Bosch)
AND/OR
2. New blue gas cap for safe measure

I checked the gas cap because yesterday I filled my card to the TOP, I even saw the gasoline falling from the car. Could it be this? I doubt it 'cause the error happened the next day!
Also, I accelerated hard a few times.
The thing is than only the p1449 error is there. no other error appears.

Any suggestions?

Hey OP,
Any update on this? I failed the smog test as this is my only code throwing an emissions error.

Additionally, I have read elsewhere that this issue can be correlated with the speaker system not working, and the speakers making an almost crackling sound whether the engine is on or off. I'm in that boat, have you experienced it?
