Question Regards to Stock DV
Hey guys, just a quick question.
I'm full bolton, well almost, jb4, hpf fmic, ar dp, injen dci. I ran map 2 for a couple days then switched back to map 5. Now when I rip it, around like 70-100, my service engine light comes on. But then it will go away. Do you think its because I have stock dv and it obviously can't contain the current amount of boost? I hope its not a boost leak in my front mount or something...cause I just got that installed like a month ago. But when I got that installed, I was still running map 5 Jb4, and it had no problems, but the problem occurred when I changed over to map 2 just to check it out.... I'm thinking the obvious and I just need aftermarket diverter valves...correct me if i'm wrong? *help* |

I have similar mods and my stock DVs hold 14.5psi just fine. What psi are you running?

You should scan your car for codes before making assumptions. I guarantee that if the SES light comes on, the car has thrown at least one code.

It would've recorded a code. Personally, I would (and I did) get a boost gauge and BT Tool before doing any of those mods.

i think that with fbo forge dvs must be, now i run only with tune +dci 14.5-15 psi so what will happen after i install fmic, catlless dps, more boost dont think that stockies can handle good job, by the way i saw ar dvs only 285 usd not much for good product and price

Definitely go with the advice on the BT tool. You can find them used on this forum with 1 or 2 VINs available. Makes life much easier when modding.

Turn auto code clear off, read codes. Based on what ur describing you're misfiring.A boost leak would trigger a half engine light not the SES.
Stock dv are fine. I push up to 19 psi through them with no problems.

Do you get it at a certain road speed or at a certain engine rpm? It MIGHT be fouled plugs... Defenetly turn off auto code clear and see if you can trigger the SES again
