My guy said it was an over the air update fix if anything so hopefully yours gets done soon? I’d keep checking - for many people it only changed yesterday so more may come in waves?

I just talked to my CA and he let me know me know my car is no longer being held for the stop sale. He actually indicated it shouldn't have been from the start which I thought was odd. Bad news is he is still working on moving my car up from SC and does not have a timeline for me yet.

So are you one of the people that got "lucky" and did not have the issue?( I asse that's a thing based on other replies)

Not a dumb question - bmw has been terrible communicating consistently to clients and dealerships. I never got a full story from my sales associate he seemed to just be checking if there was a stop sale or not. I’ll inquire about details when I go to the dealership to see if they know all vehicles are good to go.

Yeah my car was there at end of September so just a week delay. I’ve heard of other vehicles in transit being fixed though so don’t think that was a prerequisite.

My recall tool has always stated "closed" since late September when the stop sale first was announced.

Just checked and it is the same as in late September. More telling is no communication from CA about picking up yet and we spoke last night!

We were told that our car wasn't affected after all. Completely anecdotal but the dealer told us it was only the hybrids that they received in their last shipment that ended up under the stop sale. They received two 2 series (ours and another) and both were fine apparently!

The Canadian bmw recall website says "There are 0 open recalls for your vehicle" but when I enter my VIN in the Austrian BMW website posted above I get this " There is an open technical improvement on this vehicle. Please book an appointment online for your vehicle here by selecting "Service on Demand" or contact your local BMW Service Partner here for more information. Upgrade code: 0099310200"

Still no notification from my CA until now if the stop sale is still ongoing or not on mine. So I guess I am still affected by this and needs to be fixed by a software update before the stop sale can be lifted?
