why will you worry about a mechanical failure if you are purchasing a car model 2010 and probably with low mileage and with warranty ! the secret in buying any car is #1 choosing the car that meets your needs ( power , luxury, sportiness , etc ) then check the price if it's worth it , and start searching for the model , mileage and warranty. and believe even if u bought a toyota 2010 with 20,000 km , you won't go to any mechanic before 2 year on normal usage ( unless you want to change the engine oil or brake pads and so on... )

Thank you for replying..
Well I live in Dubai so traveling distances is an easy issue..
The car that I have really set my mind too and have been checking out ever since I got promoted is the Maserati GT-S
Now, Ive been hearing alot about its gear. I have to change it every 10,000 km's.. Which is something I do not want. Porshe are the only car I never hear about things like that and thats why its my second option..
Regarding the warranty.. here in UAE its about mileage.. So again most of the 2 year old cars have no warranty because they have exceeded the number of mileage allowed to keep the warranty..

well i have e90 bmw model 2007 with 117000 km shipped from UAE (Abu Dhabi) , it was 112,000 km when it entered lebanon , and with Gulf specs . and the car works fine concerning the engine , transmission and all massive parts , Elhamdullah ... but as for the maserati i don't have enough experience with it , so i might suggest porsche or mercedes if you're worried about the gearbox or transmission.

But if u want my real advice , if i were you , i will split my budget in to two parts , one = 3/4 and the 2nd = 1/4 , and i'll buy with 1/4 of the budget an everyday car so that i can used inside the city , traffic , work, etc ... and with the 3/4 of the budget i'll buy a classy/sport car so i can use it for the weekends , night life , dinners , etc ... in this way your pricey car won't have a high mileage becoz you won't be using it every now and then , and so you can keep it for a long period of time .
