2023 m240i rwd SaphFire Metalic
So far I installed smoked front reflectors, and Tommy's mud flaps on the rear. On the 27th the entire front end is getting xpel ppf. Then front mud flaps will be put on. And I will ceramic coat the car myself using ARMOR SHIELD IX . Whatever mods I do will be added to this thread.

Beautiful. Not much out there yet about the RWD 240 driving experience. How are you liking it so far?
Also, once you spend some time with it, has idrive8 been pretty solid in your experience? Lastly, if you didn't opt for the upgraded HK audio system is the base one as bad as some make it out to be? |

I did have a 2019 330i with idrive 7. I thought it was a very nice compliment to the car. Idrive 8 seems totally overkill to me. Yes the screen on idrive 8 is really gorgeous and large. But what is the benefit? Maybe for navigation? It's not like your watching movies on it lol It's nothing where I say wow this is so cutting edge. Just a larger screen, with more steps involved with removal of hard buttons. If you don't use personal assistant. My parking assist is buggy as hell.It has only worked 2 of say 20 attempts. Will be going to dealership tomorrow. Last but not least. The basics sound system. Sounds way better than it did in my 19. So I am very happy. |

Looks great! (I'm looking forward to my BSM 240 arriving in ~5 weeks.)
Would you mind posting a pic or two of the upper dash underneath of ID8 screen? (Maybe a side/low shot of the screen from the passenger side?) Given the uncertainties surrounding what the upper dash trim, a lot of us are curious whether the trim can be easily changed or covered so it would be helpful to know if the ID8 screen hovers over the trim rather than being mounted to/through it. I'm hoping the former. Thanks! |

What do you think of the new design interior with the giant tablet screen? I've only seen pictures, but it makes me wish for layout on pre-2023 cars.
Is it better when you are behind the wheel? |
