2023 G42 6U3 change
From comparing ordering guides, it looks like the G42 has Augmented Reality navigation with HUD in the 6U3 option in ZPP, versus the G20 which only has HUD. Trying to find out if this is a just an error in one of the guides and both have it or if there is actually a technology difference between the G42 and G20. I would be surprised if the 2 series gets this when the i4 and 3 series don't currently have it. Any thoughts on this?

So I reached out to the regional factory rep about this and I guess we won't be getting this feature.
Not surprised though as the hardware hasn't changed significantly on the G42, considering that the i4 and G20 also don't get the feature. |

Can you clarify that we won't be getting HUD or won't be getting the AR portion ?

HUD in the premium package. There is no AR and there is no curved display.

I think that info is wrong. The widescreen display still shows as standard equipment in the document he linked.

Honestly, I'm not sure. The other models with iDrive 8 have the option for HUD with Curved Display. I see the widescreen as standard, but the 3 has it in the premium package and is described as Curved Display with HUD. The 2 has the above live cockpit description

Driving Assistance Professional has ACC and is not available on the 330i/e. The Driving Assistance Package is blind spot, lane departure, and driving assistant (5AS)--which does not have ACC.

Canadian configurator shows the widescreen curved display on the actual images but it still has all the 22 information and packages that aren't updated. Must be just about to switch over to add the 23 information to the configurator.
We are definitely getting the widescreen display for 23. It is on the Canadian order guide as standard equipment. |

Thanks - it's an M340 with DA Pro. The CA at first told them it wasn't included due to the verbiage on the original order guide release, which was clarified on later versions

Wide vs curved
I am confused...is Wide screen the same as 22
Curved is different and in 23 ? And what does one think is coming on 23 as stock ? |

Same same. US order guide refers to 6WC as "Widescreen Display" while Canadian order guide refers to it as "BMW Curved Display". It is standard on all models of the new 2 series coupe for 2023.

This has been going back an forth on the forums for months. The new ID8 with the curved display is what most believe will be standard in the new 240. I posted the new 2 series ordering guide awhile back side by side with the new 3 series ordering guide and the 3 series specifically stated a curved display, the 2 did not. But if you look at the UK and Canadian configurators they have the new curved display. I believe that is what will be standard in the new 2 series and all BMWs at some point going forward.
