Does anyone know if you can use BMW ISTA P OR + for updating like the ecu and tcm. Also what are the steps to complete this?

Ista P is dangerous you can end up bricking modules and being
in a ton of pain.

If you must update modules use ncsexpert and do one module at a time.
If something goes wrong at least it will be down to the module you are working on.

For ista p you must have a regulated power supply and a ICOM Cable is highly recommended.

Update: I successfully updated my egs,dme,vtg modules with ista p using a icom emulator. Works fine no need to worry just follow the instructions. I used this tutorial:

In this vid he uses icom. But i used emulation and followed the rest of the steps

How long does a software update take? ive been quoted 90 mins for all modules.... maybe 120 mins
