The more power....

The more you have to upgrade certain things.

The question I have is, and I don't know if there has been sufficient time for people to find out, how much can the Auto and Manual transmission hold before they blow?

With people talking about raising their HP and upgrading turbos, that should be the first question they ask themselves.

PM Paul330d, he cited some immense capacity load for the auto boxes, sufficient to handle the prodigious torque of the turbodiesel models. I believe the auto boxes handle more than the MT that is why there are no MT models for the 335d models.

Hmmmm interesting. Its was kinda reverse for me when I bought my Supra, my friend had an Auto tranny and when we put our kits in, he had to upgrade cause it couldn't handle the power while my Manual was just fine.

Cool

The new autobox (2007 and up) is a different beast than the ones of the old days... it has multiple internal clutches and a locking torque converter...
