BMW 335d Ambient Sensor - Temperature showing -40

Any help,

I have got a E90 335d, the outside temperature is showing as -40, i have had an electricion look at this and he was checking through the wires and i could see the temperature rise and drop to what it should be.

He then suggested i got a genuine BMW Ambient sensor from the BMW dealers which i did costing me around £35.00, i had replaced this but the problem still seems to be there

Had anyone else had this issue or anyone that can help me get this sorted out,

Thanks

If -40C it’s disconnected or has a broken wire.

Ok, How about this.

My car always displays the correct temperature, throwing a code and SES light for p0070 ambient air temp sensor. I have replaced the sensor, and inspected the wiring..
