Understood. I guess using multiple ports is a good thing, gives flexibility.

Though I think we are tracking different things. Seems like you are tracking ship movements (i.e. port traffic). I was looking at port delays in processing ships.

A busy port (lots of ships in/out) with no/low delays is the best combination.

Anyway - my car needs to be built first before I worry about transport.

Not worth the effort. You’re going to search around to find it and then try to do it, it’ll basically show you a 3digit number as a status. You’ll google the status you’re looking for and the result will be….

Literally the same exact thing that the online tracker says.

It takes literally less than 15 seconds to do it.

It provides the build week (prodDate) that is not readily visible on the website and saves you a call to the BMW Genius.

And its just as inaccurate as the tracker. Want most accurate and up-to-date information, ask your CA.

Well boys... it finally happened. It's been one helluva ride. Bumper was finished super quickly and turned out good. My CA drove 2 hrs to pick me up

Car was filthy as I was insistent they didn't wash it. Covered her in tracwrap and drove it 90 mins straight to PPF. Stuck around while they washed it and got started so I could get a better look

Edit- additionally an alignment is necessary after lowering. I’m unsure how many installers also perform alignments.
Yeah I put aftermarket springs on my X3, and BMW told me I now have no warranty coverage on anything suspension related. So went MP HAS to not have to worry about that.

Also when I asked my dealer if they could install MP HAS later and it’d still be in warranty, he said yes. However he said it’s be more expensive for the labor. Port install changes $1k for the labor, which is less than dealer install.

Additionally, the port includes alignment after installation. I suspect that saves aftermarket $100-$200?

Considering that I'm already using a photo you took of DivergedM2 as my desktop wallpaper, I've got a good feeling that I'm going to get a new wallpaper soon now that you've got your hands on a BSM G87 of your own with my same spec.

What size Tracwrap roll did you use? Trying to decide between Tracwrap and Track Armour and would like to know how much to buy to get roughly the same amount of coverage as you, maybe a little more on the hood and front fenders.

Xpel tracwrap, 6”x40’

I would probably get 2 rolls if you want to do some on the sides/fenders . I only had enough for the front bumper, 2 strips on hood and 2 tiny squares on back of side skirts. I would’ve liked to have another 20’ or so more for the rear quarters. Wasn’t a long drive though

Appreciate ya

Feels awesome! Drove it ~60 miles straight to my PPF shop so that was all. Should be picking it up Saturday afternoon and then definitely putting a few hundred miles on over the long weekend. I was hanging at the shop yesterday and today so it's been nice to look at perfectly clean for a few hrs.

I found this awesome guy on this forum that is a broker and he had 1 order that was already entered and I guess the guy backed out. Anyway it was a Aug allocation with Sept production. I got it for MSRP plus $800 broker fee plus dealer doc fee and DMV and tax. I got my production number today. Trading in my 22 X5 M50i. I literally feel like someone bent me over and stuck it right in. This truck depreciated like a bitch. 100K sticker, on Manheim for 64K. I have it for a year and 8 months. Anyway....UAW going on strike....used cars should go up due to shortage of new cars. I can keep the M2 for 6 months and sell it close to what I paid most likely. Just by looking at what the used M2s are going for now. Waiting for the Z4 M40i manual!!!!! Thats a car I will keep forever.
FYI Truecar says the average sale is 1-2K over sticker on M2. BUTTT...im sure dealers want more for a car with the Carbon Seats cause they are on constraint.
Anyway...heres my build....
