X Delete Sport Tuning - Anyone try this?
Has anyone flashed the x delete sport tuning. This keeps the xdrive functionality but is supposed to reduce understeer.
I can't seem to find any feedback on how it drives with this flashed.

Pretty sure the F-series dont have a "sport xdelete". Due to the ATC45-L (L standing for light) it is only xdrive on or xdrive off.

See above. There is no "Sport" setting (or other settings) for the F-series.
xDrive ON xDrive OFF that's it. I was contemplating getting xDelete, but I must have grown up whilst doing it... I see less and less point in it. xDrive is mostly an advantage.

Interesting. Well then I wont bother with it. I have no desire to turn x drive off.

Yes.... makes them obsolete 😆
If you don't use the audio, you'd also extend the life of your speakers, but then again - what's the point, if you don't take advantage of them anyway...

For most of us the benefits of Xdrive diminish in the warmer seasons. To be able to turn Xdrive off and "save" the transfer case for when we need it (snow /ice) sounds like a valid point for Xdelete.
However the increased MPG, higher HP/Tq and lower 1/4 mile statements I don't subscribe to. Last edited by opinion914; 04-20-2021 at 08:49 AM.. |

Why do people associate xDrive with Winter season only....? It must be the advertising campaigns in the states.
XDrive is way more stable in turns (any season), provides better control, much better acceleration from 0 and is generally safer and sportier since it generally manages to put more power to the ground, summer or winter. Yes, it is also a bit less fun, but that's about the only disadvantage you can win back with xDelete. All others (like extra weight and fuel consumption) remain even after xDelete.

Makes sense to save the transfer case during summer, but again do we have any facts of this? I know that early gen F30 don't have the updated transfer case and might benefit from not being used.

The "L" is not for light. It's probably for later or LCI or something. It replaced the ATC 450 after a certain date on the exact same vehicles. Even the X5 M used the ATC 45L. |

According to the xDelete developers though (from memory) - L is "Light" and has lower strength requirements.
