Waiting for delivery of my 2022 M240i and was curious about the lights in the doors. I see some with the M lighting and some without it.

The M lighting on the door was an option. Not all cars have it, only ones ordered with the option.

It’s an option and it includes the doors and a section on the dash. Without the option there is still lighting on the doors…just not the M striping design

Same. I am happy with it. Pretty good for standard equipment.

I have it turned up to almost the highest brightness , just an fyi

But they removed the PURPLE!!

Have it set to almost brightest and without daytime dimming option and not very bright at all. It is ambient lighting after all ...

Did they change the lightning design this year to look more like the M2? Anyone knows?

For the 2025 ? I'm not sure. I think they just added the optional M lighting to the dash, instead of just the doors

No, the dash m light exist 2023+ models. Mine have them (MY2024)

Looks like I recently read an ambient lighting thread that was bumped , and didn't realize it was from 2022
