Hi All

My 2011 7 series has developed a new fault as of the past few days.

The iDrive screen doesn’t stay on. (CIC Headunit)

I can get the screen to turn on by pressing one of the buttons on the iDrive controller but after a second or two it goes off again. Pressing the button again brings it back on before turning off again.

The head unit is working all along in the background because I can hear the radio even when screen is off.

The car has a brand new battery and voltage is not an issue. I have already tried to reboot the system multiple times.

Any ideas what this could be and how it can be resolved?
